Freddie for a day

Do you know that in the city centre of Montreux, Switzerland, by the lake, there is a statue of Freddy Mercury. This statue was built in memory of world famous singer, Freddy Mercury, who died because of HIV, what a tragedy!

Students of SHMS and HIM Switzerland, hand in hand, every year, host an event at the city hall of Montreux. The main goal of the event is to do fund rising for a charity, to fight against the AIDS/HIV so that less people end up in a tragic way as experienced by Freddie Mercury.

This event takes 2 days on a weekend in early summer. Inside the Montreux city hall, the students made up many booth selling food, drinks, games. And at the front, there is a big stage where many performances were held. This event might grab around 10,000 people to come. Bravo!
